KWT 2000 tedder works nearly at 20 metres
The world’s largest tedder on show at the Krone stand
Active weight shifting on the headland
As the rotors lift out of work, a hydraulically tensioned spring presses on the drawbar while the transport link arms maintain their current position. This spring slackens automatically when the rotors return into working position or when they fold into transport position, a principle that makes the tedder safer and eliminates the risk of pushing up hay on slopes, for example.
Further significant details include the small 1.53 m rotor diameter, which translates into excellent ground contour following and quality of work. Running on large tyres and equipped with automatic folding guards, the machine is compact and safe on the road. It is attached to the three-point linkage and requires a single-acting spool and a return line. KWT 2000 is compatible with load sensing tractors and carries standard ISOBUS electronics, which allow operators to move the tedder from transport position to working or headland position from the tractor seat. The stepless working height setting system is equally convenient.
Summary: KWT 2000 reiterates Krone’s market position as the innovation leader in forage harvesting technology and bears evidence that there is plenty of potential in the rotary tedder segment.
